Saturday is the DC Randonneurs Cacapon 200K Brevet. The route, designed by Lynn Kristianson, is absolutely gorgeous and is one of our all-time favorites. You really don't want to miss it! The ride starts promptly at 7:00 at the Super 8 in Middletown, Virginia. If you haven't already pre-registered, on-site registration is $10.00. DC Randonneurs membership is required.

The cue sheet and GPS files for the Cacapon 200K ACP brevet scheduled for this Saturday, October 16, are now posted at http://dcrand.org/blog/2010/10/12/cue-sheet-and-gps-files-for-october-16-cacapon-200k-rusa-brevet/. Please park well away from the entrance to the motel. If you missed pre-registration, you can register onsite starting at 6:00AM.
The Cacapon 200K route is a real treat, with plenty of fall colors, a very pleasant 10-mile section along the Cacapon River, and the always-fun climb and descent of Wolf Gap. The fall colors were just getting started during my checkout ride on Saturday, so should be a very pretty mixture of red, yellow, and green this weekend. Thanks to Lynn for designing this relatively recent route that is becoming an October classic for DC Randonneurs.
See ya tomorrow!
